A HALLOWEEN MAZE IN THE STORY-WORLD OF DC COMICS

Working as a subcontractor for RWS group, Clostermann design created the complete theming design for one of the most unique and intricate Halloween mazes in European theme parks. With 10 rooms in total, the maze transport the comical world into frightening reality, creating a playground for the actors that scare the visitors as the DC villains. The rooms & sets needed to be created on a minimal budget and tight installation schedule, yet create a realistic and fully immersive environment far beyond typical Halloween maze´s usual standards.


SCOPE OF WORK

Based on RWS / TED London´s show script that indicated the kind of acting and storyline the client wanted, Clostermann design developed the complete interior design. The main challenge was to create sceneries that would fit the story and the style of the comic world at the same time, while being easy to construct and accommodate both visitor flow and the numerous hiding places for actors and special effects.
